Hello! My name is Michael Karlovich, and welcome to my website. I'm a 30-year-old artist and scientist based in New York City. In 2015, I graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York, where I received an exceptional multidisciplinary liberal arts education majoring in cognitive neuroscience and philosophy. My scientific background encompasses cognitive, biological, and computational neuroscience, sensation, and perception, with a particular focus on vision, as well as psychological and clinical research methods. I am also well-versed in programming, statistics, and data analytics.

Since graduating from Union College, I have been involved in various research projects spanning cognitive psychology, perception, attention, neuroscience, pharmaceutical trials, and epidemiology. I have contributed to three articles published in the prestigious journal, Neurology, and have three additional articles currently under peer review.

While exploring digital art as a hobby and a way to develop my programming skills, I found myself discovering unique techniques that resulted in striking digital creations. As I shared my work with those around me, I realized it was not only appreciated but also seen as art worthy of display and use in fashion and product design. This realization led me to establish Recursia, an online store (www.recursia.shop/) featuring my art work and designs on apparel, home decor products, and canvas prints.
